2025-10-17
On October 17, 2025, the inauguration ceremony of the joint graduate training base established by the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China and Suzhou Saimai Measurement and Control Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Saimai Measurement and Control") was held at the headquarters of Saimai Measurement and Control. Xu Genquan, General Manager of Saimai Measurement and Control, Zhang Junqiang, Party Secretary of the School of Automation Engineering of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, and Qiu Gen, Vice Dean, jointly attended the inauguration ceremony, witnessing a solid step taken by both parties in deepening industry-education integration and cultivating high-end measurement and control talents together.

At the unveiling ceremony, representatives from both sides jointly inaugurated the base, marking the substantive advancement of university-enterprise collaboration. This base will leverage the University of Electronic Science and Technology's expertise in disciplines such as automation engineering and instrument science and technology, combined with SAIMAI Measurement and Control's technical experience in electronic measurement instruments, intelligent control systems, and semiconductor device manufacturing, to jointly create an integrated platform for talent development that combines industry, academia, research, and application.
The base will adopt a dual-mentor system of 'academic mentors and industry mentors,' focusing on cutting-edge areas such as high-end manufacturing, intelligent sensing, and precision measurement and control, to carry out joint training of graduate students. In the next five years, the base plans to cultivate more than 30 high-quality graduate students with engineering practice and innovative spirit, promote the construction of joint laboratories, co-develop professional courses, and realize a full-chain education model of 'teaching—research—application.'

At the ceremony, representatives from both sides stated that the unveiling of the base marks a new starting point for cooperation. In the future, the base will serve as a link, fully leveraging the strengths of the University of Electronic Science and Technology in disciplines, talent, and research, as well as the industrial, practical, and market advantages of Saimai Measurement & Control. This collaboration aims to deepen the integration of industry, academia, research, and application — providing graduate students with a growth pathway from the classroom to the production line, and injecting enterprises with technological momentum from innovation to application, jointly contributing to the high-quality development of the nation's high-end manufacturing and intelligent measurement and control industry.
