    ▍Product Overview:

The PXIe‑9401‑8/16 are two high‑precision data acquisition cards designed for testing audio and vibration signals. These boards offer 8 or 16 synchronous analog input channels, with 24‑bit resolution and a maximum single‑channel sampling rate of 512 kSPS. They support both AC and DC coupling, with each channel independently configurable via software. An on‑board digital anti‑aliasing filter effectively reduces high‑frequency noise and suppresses frequency aliasing. Additionally, each channel integrates an independent IEPE excitation source, enabling signal conditioning for accelerometers, microphones, and other related sensors.

The PXIe‑9401‑8/16 features flexible channel configuration, making it well suited for multi‑channel dynamic signal acquisition applications—such as dynamic structural testing and audio/vibration testing—that require a high number of channels.

    ▍Principle Block Diagram:

The system block diagram of the PXIe‑9401‑8/16 is shown in the figure. The system primarily consists of a front-end analog conditioning module, an ADC module, and an FPGA module.

The front-end analog conditioning module primarily implements the necessary signal‑conditioning functions prior to analog‑to‑digital conversion. The PPXIe‑9401‑8/16 provides an independent 4 mA IEPE excitation source per channel, suitable for driving accelerometers and microphones, and supports both AC and DC coupling modes, allowing users to select the appropriate coupling based on the measurement task. An onboard internal calibration source enables self‑calibration of the board’s channels. Each analog channel incorporates a digital anti‑aliasing filter that tracks the sampling rate, effectively suppressing high‑frequency noise and minimizing spectral aliasing.
