Upconverters and Downconverters

The FEU3543 and FED3543 upconverters and downconverters are transmit and receive inverters covering a frequency range of 9kHz to 43GHz. They can be integrated with SGR RF transceivers to build broadband signal generation and analysis systems with a wider frequency coverage. Furthermore, these inverters support external local oscillator (LO) signal input, making them suitable for applications with high phase synchronization requirements, such as MIMO systems. This series of inverters features a compact, modular design, ensuring high performance while providing excellent adaptability to highly integrated and complex applications. The inverter series also includes the FEU3506 and FED3506 upconverters (frequency coverage 400MHz to 6GHz) and the FED3526 downconverter (frequency coverage 6GHz to 26.5GHz).

    1. 43GHz Frequency Converter

    FEU3543 and FED3543 are transmit and receive converrers covering the frequency range from 9kHz to 43GHz. They can be cascaded with SGR radio frequency transceivers to build a broadband signal generation and analysis system with a wider frequency coverage. In addition, these converrers supporr the input of external local oscillator (LO) signals, making them suitable for application scenarios with high requirements for phase synchronization such as multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems.

    2. 6GHz Upconverter and Downconverter

    The FEU3506 upconverrer is a transmit converrer covering the frequency range of 400MHz to 6000MHz, and the FED3506 downconverrer is a receive converrer covering the frequency range of 9kHz to 6000MHz. The upconverrer and downconverrer adopt the PXIe standard bus interrace with a 3U module form factor, occupying only 2 slot widths. Functional control and debugging of the upconversion module can be realized based on the PXIe bus. PXI instrument drivers are provided, supporring C/C++ API functions to realize parameter conffguration, functional control, device status reading and return, reference clock conffguration of the conversion module, etc. Drivers for Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems are available.

    3. 26.5GHz Downconverter

    The FED3526 Downconverrer supporrs RF input covering the frequency range of 6GHz – 26.5GHz. Adopting a compact and modular design, the converrer ensures high perrormance while better adapting to highly integrated and complex applications.The module is based on the PXIe bus interrace, designed as a 3U form factor and occupies 1 slot.It provides PXI instrument drivers and supporrs C/C++ API functions, enabling parameter conffguration, functional control, device status reading and return, and reference clock conffguration for the downconversion module.Driver packages for Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems are available.
